Nailer is an advanced DCTL for DaVinci Resolve Studio 19 and later, designed to integrate a set of measurement tools into a single, efficient utility. It doesn’t matter whether You’re a professional or a beginner, or if Your reference monitor is professionally calibrated or not, Nailer will help to set the correct levels of exposure, contrast, white balance, saturation, skin tones and neutrals.

It separates an images into different colors and depending on the selected tool indicates the corresponding levels. This approach speeds up the color correction and grading process by reducing the need to constantly checking the scopes.

By combining precision with workflow efficiency, it also enables detailed analysis of reference images, helping you match your footage to the desired visual standard or reference look with confidence.

Nailer also includes some additional tools like composition grids, middle-grey and ramp patches.

How to apply it:

The Nailer DCTL should be applied as the last node in your node tree — after the Rec.709 conversion or placed at the Timeline level of your project . All image adjustments should be made in the nodes before the Nailer node. 

Once you’ve completed your color adjustments, simply disable or delete the Nailer node.
